Our architecture and planning firm is seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design and construction of various architectural projects. You will be responsible for analyzing structures, determining their strength and stability, and providing recommendations to ensure the safety and integrity of the projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and a passion for creating innovative and sustainable architectural designs.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to design safe and efficient structures for architectural projects
- Collaborate with architects and other team members to develop design concepts and ensure structural feasibility
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for construction
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Use relevant software and technologies to create structural models and simulations
- Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating structural risks
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering techniques and materials
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum X years of experience in structural engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS or SAP2000
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
