Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cafe Manager to join our team in the hospitality industry. As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maximizing profitability. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for creating an inviting and enjoyable environment for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all cafe staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Ensure excellent customer service by consistently monitoring the quality of food, beverages, and service
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor and control operating costs and expenses
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional initiatives
- Plan and organize special events and functions
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and feedback
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Cafe Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage preparation and presentation
- Proficient in using POS systems and basic computer applications
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to create a positive and cohesive team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or degree in Hospitality Management is a plus
