As a CM Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the configuration management processes and ensuring the smooth operation of our software development projects. This is a crucial role that requires strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the configuration management process throughout the software development lifecycle
- Maintain and enhance the version control system, ensuring code integrity and traceability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement configuration item baselines
- Develop and enforce configuration management policies, procedures, and standards
- Monitor and report on configuration management metrics to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration management issues and conflicts in a timely manner
- Review and assess change requests to determine the impact on configuration items and implement appropriate changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a CM Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of configuration management tools and practices
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
