Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as an EM Team Leader. As the Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our emergency management department. You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in planning, coordinating, and executing emergency response efforts. This is a high-stakes position that requires exceptional leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and make quick decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of emergency management personnel
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and protocols
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure effective emergency response
- Conduct regular training sessions to educate employees on emergency procedures
- Oversee the maintenance and readiness of emergency equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to enhance emergency preparedness
- Stay up-to-date with current emergency management practices and trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public administration, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in emergency management or a related field
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate emergency response plans and protocols
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to emergency management
- Proficiency in emergency management software and tools
- Certification in emergency management, such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent
