Description
As a Food Service Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our food service department. You will be responsible for various tasks, such as preparing and serving food, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards, and providing excellent customer service to our guests. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with recipes and portion sizes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing utensils, surfaces, and equipment
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the safety of our guests and staff
- Assist with food inventory management, including rotating stock and notifying the supervisor of any shortages or expired products
- Greet guests warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide prompt and friendly service
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Set up and break down serving stations, ensuring that they are fully stocked and visually appealing
- Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experience
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including dress code and code of conduct
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a food service or customer service role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional customer service
